APS5 Exhibitions Coordinator

The Exhibitions Coordinator plays a key role in the development, delivery and maintenance of exhibitions and collection displays at the National Portrait Gallery. The role reports to the Senior Exhibitions Coordinator and is a member of a small team that is responsible for the delivery of exhibitions both onsite and travelling. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is required to act with a good degree of autonomy.

The Senior Exhibitions Coordinator plays a key role in the development and delivery of the National Portrait Gallery’s travelling exhibition program and onsite exhibitions and collection displays. The role reports to the Head of Exhibitions and supervises the Exhibitions Coordinator. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is required to act with a good degree of autonomy.

Dissections: Layered portraits from the collection is now open

Dissections, showcases the hyper-realist sculptural self-portrait of artist Sam Jinks, Divide, alongside the painted portrait of philosopher David Chalmers by Nick Mourtzakis, which was commissioned by the Gallery in 2011.
